Shopping Challenge | August Purchase

August will mark month 2 of my 6 month shopping challenge. If you aren't familiar with it, I'm only purchasing ONE clothing item for myself per month till December 31 (that includes shoes and accessories). I think purchasing one item is harder than not shopping at all! My one purchase for July was this pair of jeans, which I wear a few times a week. P.S. They are on sale for $20! I did buy two bras from the Nordstrom sale, but I'm not counting those because they are super boring, and I had been wearing one bra for the past year.

I've narrowed down my list, and now I need your help in deciding what item I should purchase for August!

I'm not a fan of shopping this time of year, because summer clothing is fading out yet fall styles haven't arrived. I honestly haven't been blown away by many of the styles lately, especially with the Nordstrom sale. I'm thankful my work dress code is casual, so all of the items above I could wear to work or throw on for the weekend. I can dress them up or dress them down.

1. Navy/White Striped Dress ($35)
2. Yellow/White Striped Tee ($48)
3. Ruffle Tie-Belt Dress ($50)
4. Pink Oversized Sweatshirt ($52)
5. Denim Skirt ($70)
6. B&W Plaid Dress ($36)
7. Cuffed Chino Pants ($35) I have these in navy and LOVE them!
8. Jumper Skirt ($118)
9. Rainbow Tee ($42)

So, what would you choose?! I would love your opinion!

This is such a tough decision! My favorites for you are 3, 5, and 6. Especially 5 and 6 could also be really cute with tights in the winter!

Can't wait to see what you pick!

3 or 8! Dresses are like a complete outfit on their own - more bang for your buck!

#5 is a no brainer. It's transitional and it will look good with your clogs!

#8 it's super cute and definetly worth the investment... maybe make your way to an anthro to see if the quality matches up with the steep price

I LOVE 3, but I also really like 8! But I'd probably go with 3 because it's cheaper! All cute though!
