Simple Decorating Tips for Fall

There's no doubt fall is my favorite time of year. Halloween, cooler temperatures, Thanksgiving, football, pumpkins and birthdays for myself, friends and family. As I transition my wardrobe from summer to fall I also transition my home decor.

Today I've partnered with Wayfair to share simple ways I decorate for fall that won't break the bank!

I usually don't go crazy with my décor during fall, but I love adding small pieces in my home that make it feel cozy. Also note many things I decorate with these days are items I don't worry about being broken or ruined because...kids. My mantel and built-in shelves are the only areas I can decorate and not worry about them messing up.

1. SCENTED CANDLES
Nothing will make you feel like your in an apple field surrounded by fall foliage than a scented candle. I'm a fan of the Autumn, Leaves and Pumpkin scents from Bath and Body Works. What are your favorite candles?

2. TIMELESS DECOR
I enjoy decorating with timeless décor I can reuse year after year. I try not to get too trendy, and enjoy mixing woods and metals. Candlesticks, white pumpkins and seasonal garlands on my mantel. I also swap out summer prints and frames with dark frames and holiday themed prints. I'm all about free printables. I store my off season decor in my living room credenza. I don't have a lot of storage in my home, so I have to keep decor to a minimum.

3. COMFY BLANKETS
It's the perfect time to break out the plaid and faux fur blankets. Store them in a pretty basket like this one from Wayfair for easy access. I have lots of baskets in my living room to store fall pillows and blankets, and it's also great to have a place to hide my kiddos junk. Thankfully Wayfair gives us great options to store beautifully!

4. REAL PUMPKINS
There is something special about decorating with real pumpkins. They add a cozy touch to my home, and I love the orange hues. Spend a little more money and incorporate fairytale pumpkins.
