Even though I'm a HUGE fan of color, I've decorated most of my home with neutrals. I do this because when I started decorating I was not great at picking out decor, plus I like being able to easily mix and match pieces.
Turner's bedroom is my exception! The walls and most of his furniture are neutral, but everything else has a pop of color and I love it. His room makes me so happy, and I enjoy spending time reading and playing with him there.

As I began decorating his room I realized most of decor I was buying was a primary color, so I went with it and love how it turned out. I replaced Turner's gray glider with this mid-century modern inspired chair from At Home. It took me quite a while to give up the glider as it was very sentimental to me. I spent many nights rocking, feeding and reading to Turner in that glider. Most nights we read in his bed, but I still like having a chair in his room.
I have lots of storage for books, toys and clothes. What else do you need as a kid?! There's more baskets for toys in his closet...closet organization post to come!
I love this storage cart I found at At Home. It's simple, doesn't take up a ton of space and allows Turner to clearly see his toys, books and stuffed animals.
At Home has so many decor options for every style, so once I decided on the primary color theme I was able to find lots of fun items to pull the room together. Lamps, pillows, blankets and hundreds of decorative items to choose from! See more home tour photos here.
