Moms, You're Doing Your Best.

Alex and I waited about 2 years before we made the decision to start trying to have a baby. Alex might have mumbled "OK", and I ran with it ; ). We found out 3 months later I was pregnant with Turner, and so went the roller coaster of becoming a parent. I wasn't sure what type of Mom I would be, but over the years I've learned I'm pretty laid back. I didn't read any parenting or pregnancy books, I've never used a baby monitor, and I will pretty much let anyone hold my child ; ). I've always winged it, but then again what Mom doesn't.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when moms and specifically mom bloggers tell other moms how to parent.  When they say THIS way or MY way is the best way to parent, or when they say my kid will NEVER do this and they've never had a child. For example, "I will never let my baby watch TV until they are 4 years old" - crazy internet mom. Oh geez lady, save it till after your kid is screaming in a restaurant and you are trying to enjoy a meal with your husband or when you're so sick you can barely move yet you have to entertain your toddler.

I wing it most days with parenting and fail miserably often, but I try my hardest and that's what matters. I'm quick to become impatient, I raise my voice too much and I let my kids eat almost anything off the floor. I'm not afraid to share my faults...well maybe there are a few I keep to myself. I love parenting hacks that help me along the way, and one of my favorite hacks is healthy and easy snacks that I don't have to prepare. Honestly, feeding my kids is my least favorite thing. Does that sound horrible? I worry I'm not giving them enough protein, calcium, vitamins, etc. Cue NurturMe.

NurturMe is an Austin-based organic baby and toddler food brand, founded by two innovative moms, with a focus on promoting overall digestive health in little ones. Designed to help take the stress out of feeding, NurturMe’s organic tummy friendly baby and toddler foods are free from common allergens that can upset sensitive bellies, and promote good digestive health. That means zero gluten, dairy, soy, egg or guilt; and their ancient grain based cereals and snacks deliver a daily dose of probiotics – delivering more immune boosting benefits in just one serving than 10 cups of probiotic yogurt.

Pouches are SO easy and provide my kids with nutrients and veggies, which makes me feel like a super mom. Turner is obsessed with the Ancient Grain Cookies, and has no idea of the healthy probiotics in each cookie #momwin. Their snacks take the worry out of feeding my kids, especially when we're traveling or are running errands and I need something to shut my kids up ; ). Who can relate? You can find NurturMe products at Central Market, Sam's Club, Whole Foods, Babies "R" Us, Buy Buy Baby and Amazon!

Now tell me, is there something you said you would NEVER do as a parent prior to having kids, and now you're eating your words? We can all relate, because parenting is hard AF and you can never fully prepare. Don't feel guilty for winging it, all Moms are!

This post is sponsored by NurturMe, but all thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands I love!

Honestly the main thing I remember saying I would do when I was a parent was dress my kids in the correct size clothing...haha. Guess what? I always buy a size up because they grow so dang fast and I want to get my money's worth! :-)
