Every mom knows having a stocked diaper bag is VERY important when getting out of the house or traveling with small children. As a twin mom it's even more important I'm prepared for most situations. Today, I'm sharing my diaper bag essentials and my all time favorite diaper bags.
Over the past 18 months I used this tote from TwelveLittle, which I absolutely LOVED and received compliments all the time on how cute it was. For the first time in my almost 5 years of parenting I've finally switched over to a backpack and I'm obsessed! Being able to have my hands and arms free for my twins is a game changer.
Other than the obvious diapers, wipes and bottles/cups you will find the following items in my backpack;
1. SMALL TOYS/BOOKS
I make sure to have a few small toys with me at all times for entertainment. Picture books, small cars, and musical toys are my go-to's.
2. PACI KEEPER
Having a Paci keeper attached to the outside of my backpack allows for me to keep Whitney's pacifier clean and easily accessible when I need it ASAP! Miss Whitney Kate loves her pacifier, and we make sure to have it with us when we're out because no matter how fussy she is a pacifier immediately calms her down. We only give it to her at naps and bedtime, but it's good to have when we're at a restaurant, in the car for a long time, or trying to shop. Walt on the other hand has refused a pacifier since he was a newborn. We broke Turner of his pacifier habit cold turkey when he turned 2.
3. DIAPER CREAM
It never fails when I forget diaper cream my kids get the worst diaper rash. When traveling it's even more likely my kid's bottoms will be red so I always have Boudreaux's Butt Paste in my bag.
4. BANDANA BIB
Soft bandana bibs are my favorite to have on hand because they are stylish and protect my kid's clothes from spit-up, drool and food. Matimati Baby is my favorite brand for their adorable prints, absorbent material and adjustable snaps.
5. SNACKS
This is a no brainer. As soon as my babies could start eating solids I carried snacks in my diaper bag. Pouches, goldfish, puffs and more. What are your favorite snacks to carry for kids?
I partnered with TwelveLittle for this post, but all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands I love!
