Dysport | Before & After

I recently had Dysport injections at Viva Day Spa and I'm excited to share the results with you today as well as the process of this non-invasive anti-aging procedure!

This post is sponsored by Viva Day Spa but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I've had Botox in the past but wanted to try Dysport because I've heard you have a more natural look, it takes less time to kick in, and it's more affordable. If you aren't familiar, Dysport is FDA approved and is used to reduce muscle activity in specific areas. Before I met with my estethician, Brittany, I first met with an on-site nurse practitioner to make sure I was medically OK to have the injections. Viva Day Spa goes above and beyond to make sure their staff is well knowledgeable and safe when it comes to all procedures.

Once I was approved, the injections took 5 minutes! I love this because I can get it done during lunch and head right back to work. I had a total of 50 units which included 15 units per eye (crows feet), 20 units in my forehead, and 50 units in my labella (11s/frown lines). The cost is $3.50 per unit which is a total of $175 for what I had done. It feels like a bee sting, so don't worry about the pain. You get small red bumps similar to a mosquito bite but they disappear in less than 30 minutes. I've never had a bad reaction or any bruising. It took about 5 days for everything to kick in and I'm loving the results! I like that I still have a bit of movement so I don't feel frozen.

The biggest difference I notice is the smoothness of my face. Even when I'm not smiling or frowning, the lines that are normally there are smoothed away. When I wake in the morning I look much less tired than I normally do and my makeup applies better.

I usually have Botox or Dysport injections once a year, while many have them every 3-4 months depending on how long they last. They aren't for everyone and that's OK! I love the results, but at this point in my life I don't feel the need to get them done all year round. Viva Day Spa offers med-spa services, including fillers, laser treatments, body contouring and skin rejuvenation! They offer complimentary med spa consultations which are extremely helpful if you have questions. I hope you enjoyed my mug shots.
