As a mother who has felt joy, sadness, guilt and anger all in the same hour this post is for anyone who needs encouragement in the thick of parenting. 

I'm sharing details of our family ski trip to Red River, New Mexico including what we spent for a family of 5!

I love summer and obviously so do my kids, but as a full-time working mom it hits differently. I still look forward to al fresco meals and weekends at the pool, but there are much more logistics involved now that my kids are not in daycare. Here's a look into our summer this year!

As a mother I know how easy it can be to be consumed by raising children and lose ourselves in the process. I've learned over the years we need to first love ourselves in order to to be the best mother to our children. We need to spend time doing the things that bring us fulfillment. Early on in motherhood I made a conscious effort to focus on myself outside of being a mom. Today I'm sharing those practices that have helped over the years! 

*I'm writing this post as a mom who has an active spouse. I want to acknowledge the single mothers out there that might not have the same opportunities I do, and tell you that you are a freaking SUPER HERO!* 

Port Aransas is by far my favorite beach town in Texas (about 4 hours south of Austin) 🏖. I've been to South Padre, Galveston, Corpus and Rockport and I always find myself coming back to Port A. My family stayed at the beautiful vacation rental, Sea Rocket Lane, located inside Palmilla Beach Resort and I'm excited to share about our stay in this post👇!

Happy Birthday to my favorite twins! When Alex and I started trying to have a second child, we NEVER imagined we would be pregnant with twins 😳.  Watch how we find out here! It has been a whirlwind the last five years, but we are so grateful for Walt and Whitney and their hilarious personalities and good health. 

When I was in high school I imagined myself as a CMO of a Fortune 500 company wearing a suit everyday to the office. I went to college, studied marketing, and went on to get my MBA. I married, moved to Austin, started my dream job and found out I was pregnant a few months later. I was elated to start a family, but I had no idea how it would drastically shift my career priorities. I leaned in, had a baby, leaned out, leaned back in, had twins, and well….it’s fuzzy after that. I’ve learned quite a bit these past 8 years about how to find work-life balance as a working mom. Here are my top tips!
