This past weekend started off great with a wonderful dinner with friends and a trip to the West Texas Fair. The rest of the weekend I pretty much had my nose in a business book, and if I wasn't reading I was crying on my couch as I watched 9/11 documentaries. Man, that was rough. 10 years ago I was a freshman in high school, and I really didn't understand the devastation that had happened. Now, I finally realize what that day did to our country and how it can never be forgotten.
Guest Blogger: Macy from Toasts and Spills
After growing up in a small country town in the center of Texas, moving to the city has shown me my love for fashion and helped me to be bold in what I wear. These are a few photos that show more of my casual style. I'm a fan of mixing all kinds of pieces in my closet because it can make you feel like you have more to work with when you try something new with something old. My blog is full of fashion along with design so feel free to come over and take a look at Toasts and Spills, and thanks for letting me add to your adorable blog Jesse! - Macy
Fashion for Less
Since my budget for shopping has been cut in half due to Dave Ramsey, I have to make sure I shop the sales and buy fashionable low price items. Thank goodness for affordable stores such as H&M and Forever 21. Here is an outfit that in total costs less than $100!
Caller unknown
My Wednesday morning started off quite interesting with a call from a mysterious number. I answered the phone and the first thing I heard was "Jose!!!". I preceded to tell the very loud spanish speaker that I was not his buddy Jose. He called 3 more times. Maybe he just enjoyed the sound of my voice? Happy Wednesday.

Labor Day Wkd
This past weekend was wonderful. Celebrated a bachelorette and enjoyed a wonderful city with family and friends. Here are a few pics to sum it up.
My husband has the worst/best luck. Never fails that he gets pulled over on a trip, but he usually gets a warning. And his car windshield got busted by some idiot who decided to throw a beer bottle at it.
Katie's bachelorette party downtown. Good times.
Eating breakfast at one of my favorite Austin Diners. I could eat breakfast for every meal.
Got to do a little bit of shopping. Couldn't afford much in Madewell, but absolutely loved it.
Last but not least, The Spazmatics. An amazing coverband that I have been wanting to see for so long.
Hope - Outfit #7
Thank goodness the weekend + labor day is almost here! I will be heading down to Austin to celebrate a bachelorette as well as hang out with family and friends. Unfortunately, Miss Hope has to work on Labor day : ( because at HSU, they won't let the students take off in fear that freshman won't return. I know newbies, college is scary. Luckily, they have Hope to keep them coming back!

Fall Inspiration
Please hurry fall because I want to wear tweed, scarves, and layer! Fall is the best time of the year, but Texas doesn't have defined seasons so it might be a while. I just found this amazing website, Polyvore, that allows you to create fashion image boards, and I'm obsessed. Finally a place wear I can create the outfits I love and imagine. Most of the clothes below I could never afford, but it's a good place to find inspiration.
