A Time for Everything

Have you ever been on a long car ride by yourself and had moments of sadness and happiness? Car rides can be quite the adventure for me as I usually bust out old cd's or cassettes, and jam out so hard the cars passing by probably think I'm having a seizure.  I've also had many car rides where I have been an emotional wreck, and have sung at the top of my lungs with tears streaming down my face. This weekend I attended the funeral of one of my best friend's father. I cried tears of sadness when thinking of the loss, and tears of joy when thinking of his new journey. The weekend was filled with family and friends sharing joyful memories and tears.  The whole experience made me think of the passage in Ecclesiastes where Solomon speaks of God's plan for all people, and the cycle of life we must go through.

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance "
Ecclesiastes 3: 1-4

Mr. Glaspie, you will be missed.
