Attention Austin Moms! I'm about to tell you about the MOST amazing company called Remedy Urgent Care which is a god send for busy families. When I found out about Remedy, I immediately reached out to them, because I knew this was a service I wanted to try. Sure enough, it wasn't long after that my babies were sick. It was Sunday afternoon when I decided I should take them to the doctor. As a working mom, these were my options;

1.) Take off time on Monday to take my babies to their pediatrician. I've had to take quite a bit of time off since they were born, so it's never easy asking off. I have the time but it pulls over from my vacation. Alex couldn't take off because he was already taking off on Tuesday to take Walt to another appointment. Canceling meetings and moving around work is never easy.

2.) Pack up the babies and take them to urgent care. Do you know how heavy 2 car seats are? How hard it is lugging a double stroller through a door? When the front desk asks me to fill out the paperwork, I barely have a hand free to write. Waiting for the doc in a cold room trying to keep the babies calm. Let's just say most of the time it's utter chaos. It takes about 2 hours out of my day.

Que my new option! Remedy Urgent Care to the rescue. I called, gave them my basic info, and less than 5 minutes later they advised a doctor and assistant would be at my house within the next hour.

The doctor was very sweet, and took such good care of Walt and Whitney. Thankfully we ruled out ear infections, so it was definitely teething (runny nose/extremely fussy/not eating great).

When it comes to billing, it works just like if you were going to urgent care. They bill your insurance and you pay your co-pay. You simply pay a $49 dispatch fee. I can't tell you how nice it was to not have to leave my house.  Not to have to pack a diaper bag and shuffle my kiddos to and from the car in triple digit heat. I sat in my living room and they came to me. Y'all this is a game changer!

They also do stitches, splints, physicals (for school/sports/camps/work), and treat common illnesses and skin irritations. They treat all ages of patients! You're stuck at home with the flu and the last thing you want to do is get out of your bed...call Remedy. They can treat you and call in a prescription from your own home.
