Making Family Memories at Hawaiian Falls

Being an Aunt is one of the greatest gifts I've ever been given. I have 5 nieces and 1 nephew, and thankfully they all live within 2 hours from me.  I'll be honest and say that I might know one or two of their birth dates. Whoops! Every summer we celebrate my niece Ella's birthday, and this year we headed to Hawaiian Falls in Plflugerville to celebrate her 6th!

We packed up the cars and made a full day of it. With a large group like ours (especially having the babies), renting a cabana was a must. We brought an ice chest full of snacks and food, but we also had our own cabana attendant that brought us food and drinks when requested. The lazy river was directly next to us, so while I watched the babies I enjoyed watching Alex and the kiddos swim around.

I had a blast acting like a kid again with my nieces. We rode tons of water slides, played in the wave pool, and lounged in floats in the lazy river. My sister and niece, Katie, were brave and did 3 zip lines that stretched over the park. A general admission ticket to the water park also includes entry to Adventure Park, which has a ropes course, climbing wall and multiple zip lines.

I took a pack n' play for Walt and Whitney, which worked out really well. Our cabana lounge chairs were perfect for rocking and feeding them, and when it was time to nap I was able to close up the sides of the cabana to block out the noise. My sis, Alex and I all took turns watching the them.

Before we pulled out of the parking lot, Turner and my youngest niece Parker were asleep. Talk about a full and exciting day. Alex and I were hanging out at the hotel with the girls one night, and Alex said, "You know your Aunt is crazy right?". My niece Ella replied, "We know. Why do you think we call her Rae Rae Cray Cray!" We all immediately busted out laughing. I was like....what?! I have a nick name you call me behind my back? Of course all the girls just giggled. Being the "crazy" Aunt might be my favorite title.

Our day at Hawaiian Falls may seem like another fun day, but I will always remember it as a day spent with family enjoying each others company. I have vivid memories of days like these when I was a kid, so I hope this memory is one they never forget!

This post is brought to you in partnership with Hawaiian Falls, but all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands I love!
