Friday night my friend, Amy, and I attended the grand opening of the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Georgetown. Alex would have gone but it was formal, and he doesn't own a suit so he stayed home with the kiddos.


I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was a super fun and fancy night out! Open bar, gourmet food, champagne, a live auction and an awesome live band. The party was in the ballroom, and it was a grand space with modern decor. I would love to host a blogger conference there one day! Would you come?!

The hotel is beautiful and overlooks the San Gabriel River. I definitely foresee a staycation in my future! Georgetown is an adorable town with the most beautiful square. It's a great place for all types of trips (anniversary, girl's weekend, family vacation). Stroll the square, swim in the river, antique at unique shops, and dine at tasty local restaurants.


I wore a simple shift dress, but the color is what makes it stand out. BRIGHT PINK! I had been on my feet all day at work, so I went with these leopard kitten heels. Low heels for the win! I accessorized the look with a hand me down Marc Jacobs clutch and gold bracelet from my friend Erica.
