Embracing my Mom Bod + My Favorite Two Piece Swimsuits

My body has changed since having twins, yes I'm naturally small, but my body isn't like it was. Things have widened and sagged, and none of my bras, swimsuits or jeans fit. I honestly haven't weighed myself since the babies were born so I have no idea what I weigh.

High Waisted Striped Swimsuit

It usually takes a year after I have a baby to feel comfortable in my body and be OK with my weight. I did some intense swimsuit trying on (is that a word?) this past weekend, and I wanted to share with you my favorites! I fall hard for high waisted bottoms, but I've also found that tie bikini bottoms actually work really well for my body because they are looser than hipster fit and don't indent on my hips and butt. I've always shied away from bikini bottoms because I wanted a lot of coverage, but honestly the smaller bottoms look better even though I have more exposure. I've just learned to be ok with showing off my cellulite and paleness. I still like to have a full coverage pair for when I hit up the local pool with my kiddos, because the last thing I want is a wedgie while I'm trying to save my kids from diving in to the pool.

These tie bikini bottoms were the best, and this matching top was extremely supportive and comfy for those that are active at the pool or chasing kids. Best part is they are all mix and match!

These high waisted bottoms were by far my favorite. The ruching is super flattering, and they were soooo comfy. I recommend buying these and then mixing with whatever top you like.

I know swimsuit shopping can be the worst, but take some friends with you, have a drink and embrace your curves! I'd also recommend investing in high quality swimsuits because if you're like me, you will keep them for YEARS and shopping for bikinis at Target is the absolute worst.

You look amazing momma! Obviously you have great elasticity. You rock a high waisted bottom.
