5 Simple Self-Care Ideas for Busy Moms

This post is sponsored by Alive! Multivitamins.

Over the years I've learned how important self-care is to my mental and physical health as a mom. Raising children is utterly exhausting especially when they are small and need you 24/7.  You add working full-time, staying in shape, trying to have a social life, and maintaining your marriage...you're tired. I'm partnering with Alive! Multivitamins to share some simple ways to take care of yourself when life seems too much and you need to focus on you!

1. PAMPER AT HOME
Pamper yourself at home by using a 15-30 minute sheet mask or foot mask. I buy mine in bulk on Amazon and like to wear them on nights I feel exhausted. It boosts my mood and makes me feel fancy because I'm doing something nice for my skin ; ). Best part is you can multitask while doing it. Put on your favorite show and mask away.

2. MASSAGE ON THE GO
You may not have time to schedule a massage ahead of time and you may not have a full hour which is why I love mall chair massages or foot reflexology shops. You don't need an appointment and they are cheap! Maybe you have an extra 30 minutes to spare before you pick up your kiddos, or you partner says they'll watch the kids while you run some errands. Take advantage of the speed and no reservation required of these places and get in a little me time!

3. STAY HEALTHY
Out of all these tips, being in good health is the most important thing you can do for yourself. Exercise, don't go overboard with unhealthy foods, and stay away from too much alcohol. I'm not the healthiest when it comes to my diet, but something I do every day is take an Alive! Women's Gummy Multivitamin. They just released their new Mixed Berry flavor and they are packed with all the essential vitamins and minerals women need to maintain a healthy lifestyle! They are fruit based and unlike other brands, they do not contain any gelatin. It only takes a second to eat two, and it immediately boosts my mood because I know I did something good for myself!

4. TAKE A WALK
When I am feeling anxious, overwhelmed or stressed physical activity ALWAYS helps. Some days I don't have time to exercise, but I do have time to take a fifteen minute walk around my office. I'll walk with no music, no phone. I observe nature and the people around me. This is where I let my mind wander. Where I think of my most creative ideas. I day dream and make lists in my mind. Random things will pop in to my mind of things to do. Even better if I grab a girlfriend s

5. FLOWERS / CANDLES
Flowers in my home immediately brighten my mood. Hit up your local grocery store for a $10 bouquet of flowers. Spread the flowers across your home by splitting the bouquet in to smaller vases! I also like to light a candle and fill my home with it's sweet smell. Are you a candle lover? I'm a big believer in them! My favorite is the popular Capri Blue candle which lasts forever. Wait for a sale when they are $25 or under. I also love the Magnolia candles, but they are pricey.
