I'm beyond excited to be a part of Treetopia's Design Council this year and share with you my minimal Scandinavian inspired Christmas tree! We've been in our new home for 7 months, and I wanted to continue my minimal style in to our holiday decor.

TREE DECOR:

After lots of Pinterest research (see my awesome Christmas board for inspiration) I was planning on going with black, white and silver ornaments. However, as I was shopping for ornaments I fell in love with a box of ornate gold and silver mercury glass ornaments. They were unique and I immediately changed my mind on my direction. I put them in my basket and went from there. I grabbed natural wood bead garland, pine cones, sparkle wooden stars, and white ornaments.  I also added in a few tree branches for extra texture. 

To finish off the tree I added a white faux fir tree skirt and wrapped presents with white and natural wrapping paper. I mixed gold and silver ribbon and added bells and mini-wreaths for a personal touch. I feel like this minimal theme is timeless, and is easy to change up in years to come. Maybe one year I will only want to do silver and white, I can easily take out the gold ornaments. 

WREATH/GARLAND DECOR:

For our garland I bought a heavy duty garland hanger for my front door and added a natural hemp rope & ball garland. The box came with two 9' garlands which is what I used to drape over my front door. I added pinecones and a few faux berry stems to the wreath, and I will be going back to add lights to everything (kicking myself for not ordering them prelit).
