One of my favorite things about our new home is the wide entryway. The ceilings are 14ft tall and we have beautiful arch across the top. We didn't choose the tile or the color of the walls since the house was already built, but I really love the choices the builder made. I haven't added much to any of our walls except the entryway, which I used the IKEA frames from our old home to showcase family photos Jessica Rockowitz took. I incorporated an old Target lamp, but added a new entry table, rug, baskets, vintage books, and a few plants. I've kept it very simple which is my style. I also added a beautiful black and brown chandelier from Texas Bright Ideas. I'll link a few similar options below.

Once you walk in about 15 feet to the right there is an opening to our mudroom which has a door to our laundry room and a door to our garage. This is where we come in the house most days and drop our stuff. I have a giant basket for shoes, and then hooks for our coats and backpacks. In the summer it's where I store towels, sunscreen and flip-flops. Hanging on the wall is one of my favorite pieces of art, a custom wooden Texas made by my friends at Hemlock and Heather.
