I often get blogging questions such as; How do you reach out to brands? How many followers do you need to have before you reach out? Do you have a media kit? What's in your pitch?
90% of my partnerships over the years have come from me reaching out.
In my latest video I'm sharing what I've learned the past 6 years, and giving my honest opinion of what works and what doesn't work for me. If you have any specific questions, please comment on the video and I'd be happy to answer them!

How To Become A Blog Contributor : 5 Easy Steps
Have you thought about blogging, but don't want to start your own? Or maybe you have a blog but you want a larger reach? Becoming a blog contributor is the perfect solution! I'm sharing with you 5 tips on how to become a blog contributor.
1.) Choose Your Topic
Decide on what topics you like writing about whether that be DIY projects, parenting, travel, fashion, etc. Make sure it's a topic you are passionate about so the writing comes easily!
2.) Research
Maybe you have some dream blogs and/or websites in mind of who you want to write for. Many large websites/blogs have applications to become a guest contributor, so start applying. I became a Wayfair contributor by simply filling out their application and making sure they saw my passion for DIY projects and home decor.
3.) Reach Out
Don't be afraid to "cold email" different blogs. It's always best if you have examples to share that show your style of writing and ability to create quality images/graphics (try Canva if you've never made any before). Give them ideas of posts you would like to write for their blog.
4.) Network
Emailing blogs is good, but meeting bloggers face to face is even better. Try going to a local blogger event or attend a blogger conference. Don't be afraid to set up a coffee date with a blogger either. Utilize Facebook and Instagram as well to interact with your favorite blogs and bloggers. I find that if you start a relationship by becoming an avid commenter, then when you apply or reach out they will remember you!
5.) Don't Give Up
Don't be dissapointed if you get rejected. There are tons of websites and blogs that you can contribute to. Start small and work your way up. Maybe it's writing for a local blog, and then later applying for a national blog.
I hope these tips help you! Feel free to reach out if you have any questions. If you're interested in starting your own blog, check out my 5 simple steps here!
