Frohes Halloween

We had so much fun celebrating Halloween this year. I dressed up for work, and was the only one on my team that did.  Thankfully, my MOD costume almost looked like I would wear it on a normal day, so it wasn't too embarrassing.

Turner ended up having two costumes.  I bought him a giraffe costume that was 50% off at Joann Fabrics a few months prior, but then my father in law found a handmade german outfit at an estate sale.  The German culture holds a very special place in our family, since Alex and I became best friends while studying abroad in Austria.  Turner's lederhosen wouldn't have been complete without this original Hofbrauhaus stein from Munich Alex brought back.  My baby will only fit in these specific sizes once, and who knows if I'm going to have another boy, so two costumes it is.

We invited some friends over, snacked on homemade caramel marshmallow popcorn, pizza, and tons of dip while watching Hocus Pocus.  I was disappointed we didn't have more trick or treaters come to our door, so I guess that means Alex and I will have to eat all the leftover candy ; ) .

Was ist das?

Ich liebe Deutschland!

A nap and an outfit change later.

My friend Chelsey's infamous penguin costume was a hit!
