When tickets first went on sale for the 2012 TX Style Blogger Conference, I quickly rushed to buy mine. By the time the conference came around, I honestly was very nervous and almost felt like backing out. Why? I don't know, maybe that scared insecure little girl inside of me saying...danger, danger...powerful, fashionable women that have amazing blogs. Luckily the traffic, horrible weather, and my insecurities didn't keep my away.
I was nervous walking in to the first event, but I was instantly welcomed by warm smiles and wonderful conversation. Every woman I met had a great story, and I left every night of the conference extremely excited I had made new fashion friends. I was seriously giddy. One of the biggest things I took away from the conference was, I don't have a passion for blogging, and I probably won't blog much longer. Is it weird that I would attend an amazing blogging conference, and I would come away realizing I don't want to blog? I don't think so. I do enjoy telling my stories and talking about life and fashion, but it is becoming more of a hassle rather than a joy. I experience a bit of anxiety when I think of quitting blogging cold turkey, but lately I have been blogging less and less. I'm still not 100% sure what I want to do, but I did learn a good lesson from Kendi, "Your blog is not your purpose. Let it drive your purpose." Thank you Indiana and staff for a wonderful conference, and the opportunity to meet some amazing women that all have meaningful stories to tell.
Here are a few pics that sum up the weekend.
