Geeks who Drink

Last Sunday night some friends and I went to trivia at The Highball downtown.  We might have gotten last place...or close.  We had subjects like baseball, geography, and most TV questions covered but everything else we bombed.  When they said ,"Geeks who drink", they REALLY meant it.  I'll stick with bowling and karaoke next time.

Pop

Today is a dreary friday, so a pop of color should brighten up my day.  Until last week I had never been to Francesca's, but I was pleasantly surprised at how low-priced the items were. I got this dress for $9 and this jacket was on sale for $20. Pretty good deal to me. Plus, I love anything that is mustard yellow.

Last night I attended a mixer for the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce, and it was quite interesting since it was my first networking event.  Very awkward walking around a bunch of handsome/pretty confident young professionals, but I just walked right up to a table of women and pushed my way in.  We ended having a great time!  I would much rather make friends with lasting relationships than just business contacts that I have no relationship with. All in all a great night.  Here's to Friday and a great weekend!
