Snow White always has her loyal dwarfs by her side, which is why I chose this theme for Walt and Whitney's Halloween costume! Read on for outfit details and a behind the scenes look at shooting 19 month old twins.
You can always find these two close to each other, but they have VERY different personalities. Walt is a bit more needy and goofy, and Whitney is sassy and defiant. Both are lovers when they want to be. Each morning before Alex takes them to school I ask for a kiss. Sometimes I'm lucky and get a kiss from each, but most of the time only one will give me a kiss while the other one turns away and giggles. Every morning is different. They are so fun...when they aren't crying ; ).
Lover Dovers made Whitney's playful and colorful Snow White dress, which also comes in a more elegant version with a tutu skirt. I added an adorable red glitter bow from Minted Tulip (only $6), and black flats and white socks from Walmart. Thank goodness apples were a necessary accessory for this outfit because food is the only thing that can keep my children from moving.
If I had to pick a seven dwarf personality for Walt it would be Grumpy, but I went with a Dopey costume because of the availability. I'm not a crafty mom that likes to make costumes. I ordered his hat and shirt from here, and the biker shorts and moccasins were pieces he already had in his closet. I love how the costume turned out!
