Turner Jack - 8 months

Celebrating 8 months of Mr. T today! We're loving this stage as his personality begins to come out.  Alex and I rush home every day after work so we can get in some quality play time before bed.

Turner...

- Has 6 teeth. 3 on top, 3 on bottom. His top two teeth were a doozy (major teething going on), but oh my goodness he has the cutest "Turner Gap".  My maiden name is Turner, and my family is infamous for having a gap right in between our two front teeth.

- Is crawling.  It's so cute when he sees me across the room, and crawls as fast as he can to come get me.

- Eating solids twice a day at daycare.  We've also started feeding him fruit as well as baby puffs so he can practice his pincer grasp.

- Sleep is still a struggle.  He usually wakes up once a night, but some nights he'll wake up around midnight, and then wake once more around 5:30am.  That's the worst because I'll wake up to get him back to sleep, and by the time I get back to bed, I've got to get up in 30 minutes.  His bedtime is around 7pm, and if he only wakes up once, he wakes up for the day around 6:30am.

- Loves pulling himself up in his crib.  Now when I walk in to his nursery, he's usually standing up smiling or crying.  His crib backs up to a window w/curtains and he's constantly pulling on the curtains and trying to get to the blinds.

- Scrunches his nose when he smiles.  My heart melts every time.  It still takes quite a bit of effort to get him to laugh, but he LOVES when I rub my hair across his face and belly.

- We've stopped giving him prevacid, his acid reflux medicine, and he is doing great.  He still doesn't drink the amount of milk most babies his age do, but isn't spitting up or crying when he eats.

- Travels like a pro.  We've been out of town almost every weekend this summer, and Turner does great on road trips.  He sleeps most of the time, and if he's not sleeping he plays with his toys.

- We've still not experienced any separation anxiety which is very nice when visiting friends and family.  He'll let ANYONE hold him, especially if your a lady with long hair and shiny jewelry.
