A few days ago I hosted a VIP Blogger Event at Viva Day Spa to celebrate their Grand Opening at the Domain. It was an absolute blast although I didn't get to chat too much with my blogger babes, because everyone was in and out getting services (massages, facials, mani/pedis, laser hair removal and Dysport injections).
I choose to have a facial, which was super hydrating. My skin desperately needed it, and then later I had a chair massage and received a Dysport treatment to my forehead wrinkles. I can't wait to see the results in a week or so! It wasn't painful at all, and Brittany is the Medical Esthetician pro and always does a professional job.
We snacked and enjoyed Deep Eddy cocktails. These gourmet chocolates by Chocolaterie Tessa were all the rave among the bloggers. I couldn't get enough of the salted caramels!
The Grand Opening party for the public started right after the blogger event, and look at this line. They had over 700 people RSVP, crazy!
After the party, I headed to General Tso'Boy with Jane (Blogger at A Taste of Koko) and Ane (Blogger at The Hungry Chronicles). It was my first time trying it, and I loved the grain bowl with rice, lettuce and general tso's chicken. Fresh and not too heavy!
Afterwards we headed to Restoration Hardware's Private Party for their new location at the Domain Northside. I met my friend Stephanie and we were delightfully surprised when we walked in and were immediately handed a cocktail. Too bad we were both driving home, because the drinks were flowing....bellinis, wine, mojitos and beer everywhere!
You guys...this place was MASSIVE! 4 stories of THE most beautiful home decor. Each floor was dedicated to a different style. Floor 3 was modern and had the most stunning chandeliers. Stephanie and I walked around acting like we could actually afford something, but honestly I probably couldn't afford a towel.
After we toured the bottom 3 floors we headed to the rooftop which is all outdoors and features patio furniture. That's where we spotted one of the hosts of the party, Camila Alves. Yep, that's Matthew McConaughey's wife. Stephanie was daring and said, I want a picture with her. So she went right up to her and introduced herself. I scooted my way in and shook her hand introducing myself and then we chatted for a bit about her kid's food company, Yummy Spoonfuls, and how we were both Austin Mom Bloggers. She said "You just made my night! We need to do something together!" and preceded to write down her email in Stephanie's phone. "Act normal Jesse" were the thoughts going through my head.
