Ready For Spring - Walt & Whitney Update

I'm SO excited Spring is here! Warmer days and longer nights to play outside! Everyday when I pick Walt and Whitney up from school, I let them run around in our front yard for an hour or so. I have to keep my eye on Whitney the most because she will eat rocks, dirt, trash and leaves like it's the yummiest dessert she's ever had. She also enjoys discovering ant piles...God help me.

Twin Photo Shoot - 6 Months

I know how fast babies grow up, so I want to capture Walt and Whitney in as many photos as possible in this stage! Life is crazy beautiful, and most days I'm running around like a hot mess. A perfect example of this is...all week I was so excited for this shoot with Laura Morsman. I envisioned what the babies outfits would look like and then I shopped till I found exactly what I wanted. The day of the shoot, I rushed around like always trying to pack everything I needed for them (bottles, diapers, burp rags, pacifiers, measured formula, etc.), and pack up their stuff, fasten them in their car seats, load them up and finally head out! When I showed up to Laura's house, I realized I had completely forgot their outfits. D'oohhh! We went with it and shot them in their diapers, and I love how they came out!

Walt & Whitney: Newborn Photos

Just 6 days after Walt and Whitney were born, Kayla Snell, came to my home to shoot photos of the their new closet for The Container Store's blog. I asked her to snap a few photos of Alex and I with the babies as well and I am in love with them! Turner was at school so this photo shoot went much smoother than our family photos.

I was sweating profusely, felt fat, and my boobs were extremely swollen, but gosh dang it my hair looked good...haha. Their cute outfits and beanies are from Old Navy. I will cherish this images forever.

Family Photos with Mallorie Owens Photography

I'm so thankful Mallorie of Mallorie Owens Photography came to our home to photograph our family of 5. The babies were just 10 days old. I was a hot mess prior to the shoot trying to look decent, and wrangling my 3 year old to sit still for photos was not an easy task. Thankfully Mallorie was super patient and sweet and the photos came out amazing! Turner really is obsessed with his new brother and sister, and the photos of him glancing in to their crib shows a tiny glimpse of their relationship. Seeing the photos of us all together makes me smile. I truly can't believe we are a family of 5, we are complete.
