Rested

This past weekend I visited my family down south, but this time w/out Turner and Alex.  I spent a lot of quality time with my nieces, which is always enjoyable (except when they scream & fight).  Saturday night we had a dance party in my parent's front lawn for over an hour. We danced to the entire Kids Bop 22 soundtrack. Holy moly, I love dancing with little kids, because they think your dances moves are awesome.  I also got a FULL night of sleep. Hallelujah!

Sunday, we danced some more (the weather was perfect), and I taught them a little move from Wayne's World..."SCHWING!" My sis wasn't too impressed when they showed her what Aunt Rae Rae taught them.  That's what crazy aunts are for! Right?

This weekend's weather was amazing, and it made me want to be outside all day.  All I want to wear are dresses, shorts and sandals.  Guess it's time to find some spring deals. What is your go to store for warm weather outfits?

Port A Weekend

Alex and I took a short trip to the beach this weekend with my sister/bro-in-law and my nieces.  We went mainly so Alex could go fishing, but for the second year in a row he caught absolutely nothing ; ) Even though we were just a 10 min walk from the beach, we actually never stepped foot on it.  Kind of sad that I had no desire to go, but I'm just not in to the sand sometimes.  All 8 of us stayed in an RV, and boy did I learn quick that I do not want 4 kids (3 is now pushing it).  I love my nieces to death, but they are a lot of work! Not the most relaxing weekend, but always worthwhile when I get see family.

Smile

This past weekend Alex and I took a short trip to my hometown. I really needed some relaxation, and to see my nieces.   They bring me such joy, and help me to remember what life is really about. Ella, the youngest, is growing so fast, and I hate missing out. She loves taking pictures and videos on my phone, so we had a short photo shoot on Saturday. I just love that when I say, "Make a funny face!", and her little personality comes out.  Her faces are much cuter than mine, that's for sure.

Katie is pretty cute as well : )

On the way back to Austin, we just HAD to stop at the Apple Store since Alex's work discount finally came through.  He couldn't wait any longer to get his precious iPad, which he has been begging to buy since the day the original iPad was released.  He is now a happy man, and his attention span will soon begin to deteriorate...yay for me. (Please hear the sarcasm in my voice)

Black & White

This is what Alex calls my biker look. I'm sure he would love for me to own a motorcycle, but that will NEVER happen. Do you hear that Alex? N-E-V-E-R! Murdercycles aren't my thing, but maybe we can agree on a Moped.

In just a couple of hours, I'm going to pick up 3 out of 4 of my nieces.  They are going to spend the weekend in Austin with their crazy Aunt Jesse and Uncle Al.  I am beyond excited to show the girls the fun things to do in Austin. I just hope my neighbors beneath our apartment don't kill us when they hear three girls bouncing around the living room floor. Enjoy your weekend!

My graduation present from my in-laws...I love it!

Test Run

It never fails that I have a great time when I go home to see my 4 crazy nieces.  You know what's better than having your own children? Having lots of nieces! You can play with them for an entire weekend, and then when you are completely exhausted, you can pack up your stuff and go home..haha. But seriously, being an aunt has definitely helped prepare me for motherhood, and I'm very thankful for that.

Alex and I on a car ride with all 4 of them...quite an adventure. We were singing Taylor Swift at the top of our lungs.

Katie's 4th birthday party. She went crazy when we gave her this Snow White dress.

And the other birthday girl, Emalee. She turned 8 years old...we get along as you can see.

And Ella, she makes me want to have a baby.
