Last month I hosted my 9th ATX Blogger Mixer! I took a break after the last mixer in November, because I needed time off from planning. I wasn't sure how long I would wait to start planning the next, but the opportunity fell right in to my lap and I couldn't pass it up.

Kirsten inspired us all with her wisdom and passion for empowering women. There wasn't a dry eye in the room after hearing her stories about working with and helping women around the world.
TXSC Day 3
In conclusion, this year's blogger conference was amazing. Thank you Indiana & staff. I connected with so many women, and can't wait to continue our friendships. Here's till next year ladies!
TXSC Day 2
Day 2 of TxSC started bright and early on Saturday morning at the Hyatt downtown. What a beautiful location. I attended a class on HTML for beginners, blog monetization, event planning for bloggers, and a personal budgeting class put on by Kelsey & Eric. I loved every class I went to and learned so much, but I had to take a break during the day to meet up w/Alex, Mr. T, and my brother for lunch. I then headed to a friend's housewarming party, came home, showered and was out the door for prom. Yes, prom for adults. I tried to get Alex to come, but he's boring and is afraid of bloggers. I'm sorry for those of you had to put up with my instagram account that night, but I had to. Must...Enter...Contests...Win...Free...Stuff. I was gifted a scarf for instagramming a pic of myself wearing it, now that's what I call a deal. And last but not least, photo booths. You can't have a blogger conference with out them. Bonlook wins for the best photo booth.
I had a great time with Kristi from Lucky Girl Finds (thanks for being my photographer ; ) ), and chatted in the Shop Ruche booth with Mara Ferreira, she's so sweet.
Much to my surprise I ran in to the ladies of Brickyard Buffalo. We chatted about babies and the phenomenon of beautiful blogging mormons. I also had to get a picture w/Jen from Jen Loves Kev. I absolutely love her blog, and she is so genuine and sweet.

We headed to La Condesa to catch up on what has being going on in everyone's lives this past year. Reading someone's blog only tells you so much.
| Kristi, Lauren, Hilary |
I called it a night pretty early for 2 reasons. 1.) I need sleep (Mr. T wakes up 2x a night) 2.) I'm an old lady
Back To The Beginning
It's been over a year since I posted about my first time attending the Texas Style Council Conference. I mentioned possibly giving up blogging because I wasn't passionate about it, and it's funny how those same thoughts resurfaced as I attended the conference this year. It's intimidating but also inspiring to be surrounded by women that are extremely excited about their blogs, businesses and passions. I often wonder what the "theme" of my blog is, and it's hard for me to say. It started as a creative outlet for me when I lived in Abilene, and now I enjoy sharing with others glimpses into my life as well as lessons I've learned. There's no specific theme here, but I hope that others enjoy it because I really do have fun writing it. With that being said, I'm thinking about trying a few new things out, so please bare with me. As my life evolves, so will this blog.
Back to the conference. It was wonderful, like always thanks to Indiana and her wonderful staff. It's like a Jesus camp high. I'm pumped for 3 days straight, fixated on #TXSC13 instagram photos, losing my voice because I'm talking too much, and making many new friendships with women I already know so much about (haha, you kind of feel like a stalker). Thanks to blogs, I was able to keep up with my friends I met last year, and when we reunited it was like we never skipped a beat. I have so much to say it's overwhelming so I'm going to break up each day of the conference in a separate post. Stay tuned for day 1!
P.S. - Evidence of my blog evolving.

#2 - Forcing my co-worker & roommate to take photos
