6 Month No Shopping Challenge | Month 2 Update

Month 2 of my 6 month NO Shopping Challenge is complete! Check out my latest video for an update of what I've been struggling with, what I've bought, what I've been given and what I've learned so far!

If you're joining me, use the hashtag #BuyLessLiveMoreChallenge in your photos so I can follow along!

My FAVORITE Scarf

If you didn't know I now have a new tab at the top of my blog titled INSTAGRAM SHOP. There you can see all the outfits I post to Instagram because sometimes those outfits won't make a full blog post. P.S. This scarf is seriously the BEST! It's uber soft, big and comfy, has pom poms on the bottom and is only $24.50. Get it HERE!

The Perfect Everyday Hat

I've never thought of myself as a hat person, and usually feel very awkward when I wear one. Hats are a bold statement and add a lot of personality to an outfit, but I've never found one that suited me until now!

Not So Basic White Button Down

I saw this white button down in Zara a few weeks ago and fell in love! The width of the top and the asymmetrical hem make it not so basic yet it's still a classic piece to have in my wardrobe.

Denim X Denim

It's been raining all week here in Austin, and I'm loving it! It's given us a break from triple digit heat and given everyone a glimpse of fall. I'm a HUGE fan of denim and could wear jeans everyday. I felt like wood-worker of some sort in this denim on denim outfit. I was reassured of this of this when a bearded guy complimented my outfit while I was eating a hamburger.

#JesseCoulter - No. 18 {Maternity Style}

I love the contrast of these two outfits. One is obviously very dressy, which I wear to work...although I'm not required to get super dressed up, I tend to wear dresses. This dress is super comfy and sucks you in....in all the right places. The other look is my favorite uniform of denim on denim paired with my felt hat and thrifted boots from a local antique store. I'm not going to lie when I say that I absolutely hate these maternity jeans. They are so cute for outfits, but extremely uncomfortable because they constantly sag and fall down around my waist (hello plumber's crack). They are the first pair of jeans I've tried with the side panel, and I'm not a fan. I'm also not a fan of over the belly jeans because they also fall off/sag. The only jeans that seem to work for me are the low panel style. What is your experience with maternity jeans?

Fall Wardrobe Inspiration

Dressing for Fall will be a bit different from last year, but I am still very excited for neutrals, scarves, boots, plaid and flannel. I have a feeling I'll be wearing a lot of swing dresses with tights and boots. I think I'm going to test out hats a bit more this fall, especially since I will likely get bored of my limited wardrobe. Here are a few outfit pics from last year. What Fall style are you excited for?
1.) Top/Jeans: Gap. Vest: Belk. Boots: Kork Ease. 2.) Top: Joe Fresh. Jeans: Old Navy. Boots: Gap. 3.) Top: Gap Factory. Vest: SteinMart. Jeans: Old Navy. Boots: Clark's
1.) Blazer: Jcrew via Encore Style. Top: Jcrew Factory. Jeans: Old Navy. Boots: Clark's. 2.) Sweater/Top/Pants: Gap. Ballet Flats: Old Navy. 3.) Jacket: Gap. Tee/Jeans: Cotton On. Sandals: Birkenstocks

#JESSECOULTER - No. 11

I'm finally getting used to wearing a hat....kind of. I'm not used to seeing myself in hats so it's weird.  Do you wear hats? I definitely think people should wear them more often. Perfect for bad hair days and good for keeping the sun off your face.

What are your plans this weekend? Tonight I'm heading to a friends apartment to hang out by the pool with the family. Saturday, I'm hitting up BodyPump super early, heading to the Personify Austin blogger brunch downtown, and then working on some home projects the rest of the weekend. I'll also be taking over HomeRight's Instagram for the weekend, so follow along for some paint tips, DIY projects and decor inspiration.

My fav ASOS peplum tee is from last season, and unfortunately isn't being sold anymore, but I've linked a few similar peplum tees below.

#JESSECOULTER - No. 10

Have you ever "liked" a blogger's Instagram photo, and then received an email with the item details and it was insanely expensive! I don't know why I follow bloggers who have MUCH bigger budgets than I, maybe for inspiration?  After a few instances of being extremely pissed off that bloggers would send me to a dress that costs $600, I decided I should start linking my outfits to show you affordable yet fashionable options.  So from now check out the bottom of my style posts to find links to either the exact item or a similar option (many of my items are OLD). If you follow me on Instagram, sign up HERE and every time you "like" my post, you will get an email with the links to my outfit pieces!
