If you didn't know I now have a new tab at the top of my blog titled INSTAGRAM SHOP. There you can see all the outfits I post to Instagram because sometimes those outfits won't make a full blog post. P.S. This scarf is seriously the BEST! It's uber soft, big and comfy, has pom poms on the bottom and is only $24.50. Get it HERE!
My FAVORITE Scarf
The Perfect Everyday Hat
I've never thought of myself as a hat person, and usually feel very awkward when I wear one. Hats are a bold statement and add a lot of personality to an outfit, but I've never found one that suited me until now!
Casual Fall Outfit
I've fully embraced the front tuck and don't think I'll ever go back! For some reason I feel like it dresses up my casual jeans + tee uniform. If you've followed me for a while you know I'm obsessed with American Eagle's Tomgirl jeans, and I recently found a pair in black! For some reason they don't have this color online, but I would definitely advise you to try on a pair in the store!
Not So Basic White Button Down
I saw this white button down in Zara a few weeks ago and fell in love! The width of the top and the asymmetrical hem make it not so basic yet it's still a classic piece to have in my wardrobe.
Blazer + Boyfriend Jeans = Mullet Outfit
Last week I had a virtual presentation to give, so I wanted to dress up but I also wanted to be comfy. I created what I call my MULLET OUTFIT. Business on the top, party on the bottom! I rarely wear button down shirts or blazers, but I really loved this outfit. One of my managers in the office walked by and said, "Do you have an interview or something?" and then he looked down at my jeans and I could tell he was very confused. Haha!
Statement Necklaces by GAIA Empowered Women
At my last ATX Blogger Mixer I noticed these beautiful necklaces by GAIA Empowered Women and couldn't stop thinking about them. They make a bold statement and the best part is they are handmade by resettled refugee women rebuilding their lives in Dallas, TX.
Denim X Denim
It's been raining all week here in Austin, and I'm loving it! It's given us a break from triple digit heat and given everyone a glimpse of fall. I'm a HUGE fan of denim and could wear jeans everyday. I felt like wood-worker of some sort in this denim on denim outfit. I was reassured of this of this when a bearded guy complimented my outfit while I was eating a hamburger.
Gingham Style
I saw this dress from Clad & Cloth last year, and it was sold out for what seemed like forever. Thankfully a friend of mine in Austin messaged me and said she'd be willing to sell me hers that she never wore. I said YES, and when I tried it on it was everything I imagined. If you order definitely size up (I'm wearing a medium).
Denim Culottes
I first saw denim culottes on blogger Valerie Dittner and fell in LOVE! I knew they had to be mine, but I was not about to pay an arm and a leg. I searched online and found these culottes from Macy's for less than $50. I ran to Macy's immediately and they were everything I imagined. BEST part is they are currently on sale for $26.99!
Favorite One Piece Swim Suits
I've never been one to buy a one piece, mostly because I'm a bit too long, but one pieces have really upped their game over the years. You add cute one pieces and a postpartum belly and I'm sold. Here are some of my favorite one pieces this season!
My Must Have Summer Shoe
I pulled the trigger and purchased my first pair of Birkenstocks 2 years ago, and it might be one of the best purchases of I've ever made! If you haven't owned a pair, you are probably wondering what all the hype is about, but believe me...they are worth every penny! I own this silver pair and my host daughter gifted me this gold pair from Germany for my birthday. Birks are the perfect sandal to have in your closet, especially if you value quality over quantity. They go with most outfits, are durable and extremely comfy. If you are going on vacation and are trying to pack light these are your go-to shoes. I bought these specifically to wear when Alex and I went on a trip to California, and I wore them site seeing every day! No, this is not a sponsored post, I just love them that much. You can find links to my favorite styles and colors below!
Girls' Night Out - Summer Style
Off the Shoulder Dress
When I saw this red cotton dress online I knew it HAD to be mine. I ran to the closest H&M and luckily there was one left in my size. The best part was the dress was less than $20! It's officially my favorite dress, and I've broken the wedding guest rule and worn it to way too many weddings this summer. You can't blame me...it's comfy, unique and very loose (so I can eat all the food and not worry about my postpartum pooch).

Dressing the Bump {Second Trimester}
Dressing a baby bump during the 2nd trimester is always my favorite. You're not too huge, but most people can tell you're pregnant (for me especially carrying twins). I wore a ton of dresses due to unpredictable Texas weather as it transitioned from Summer to Fall. When it came to pants, I only wore jeans and jeggings. I always favor low-panel jeans and side panel jeans are bearable. I despise over the belly jeans because they always end up sagging.
My advice would be to invest in a few key pieces, but choosing the right ones depends on what you do for a living. Are you a stay at home mom? Invest in some casual outfits (jeans, leggings/jeggings, tees, casual t-shirt dresses that you can easily move around in with your kiddos). If you go in to the office everyday and have to dress more formal, I would invest in a few dresses that you can dress up or down, as well as a pair of ankle length dress pants that you can wear with flats or heels. Whatever your job may be, I would own a lot of cardigans and tunics that cover your rear....it definitely grows over time ; ). Some of my favorite brands for maternity clothing are Old Navy, Gap, Envie De Fraise, ASOS and PinkBlush Maternity.
If you hate spending money on maternity clothes, look for non-maternity pieces such as tunics, a-line dresses, jogger pants, maxi dresses and a-line skirts that have stretchy waist bands. Cotton On is a great resource for tunics, cardigans and baggy dresses that work throughout pregnancy.

I love the contrast of these two outfits. One is obviously very dressy, which I wear to work...although I'm not required to get super dressed up, I tend to wear dresses. This dress is super comfy and sucks you in....in all the right places. The other look is my favorite uniform of denim on denim paired with my felt hat and thrifted boots from a local antique store. I'm not going to lie when I say that I absolutely hate these maternity jeans. They are so cute for outfits, but extremely uncomfortable because they constantly sag and fall down around my waist (hello plumber's crack). They are the first pair of jeans I've tried with the side panel, and I'm not a fan. I'm also not a fan of over the belly jeans because they also fall off/sag. The only jeans that seem to work for me are the low panel style. What is your experience with maternity jeans?

My clothing options are starting to become more and more slim, and I'm living in dresses as much as possible before Summer ends. I can still wear non maternity shirts, but jeans must be maternity. Thankfully I have a few pairs of non maternity stretchy track shorts that I can wear if it's too hot. All of these outfits are from when I was 18/19 weeks along.

Guys! I learned how to curl my hair, and now it will officially take me 30 minutes longer to get ready. I have been spoiled with curly hair that dries pretty good naturally, so the process of blow drying, straightening AND then curling feels like FOREVER. But it makes me feel super fancy!
