I think it's extremely important to continue learning throughout your life. Whether that is picking up an instrument, crafting, trying out a new workout, learning a new language, or practicing a new skill. Your brain, body and overall life can only benefit from learning. This year I'm intently focusing on spending less $ on material items and more $ on experiences such as learning a new skill.

Easter 2015
We headed south this past weekend to celebrate Easter and enjoy a relaxing weekend with family. We did just that. We spent lots of time outside, enjoyed an Easter service, smashed lots of cascarones, hunted Easter eggs, and ate a ton. Turner's favorite part of his Easter basket was his new motorcycle, and he wanted nothing to do with the egg hunt. I think he's still on a jelly bean high. I hope you had a great weekend!

SPASOCIAL GIVEAWAY
Ladies, this place exists...in Round Rock, TX. I used to drive by SpaSocial almost every day on the way home, and had no idea what was inside. To my surprise this insanely beautiful day spa greeted me when I walked through the doors. Read all about the Spa Party I recently hosted HERE!
This is like no other day spa you've ever been to. I love it because the decor is modern and chic, and the music is fun and upbeat. Every detail of the entire building is beautifully crafted and thought out. When you walk in you're usually greeted by the owner, Amanda, who is seriously the sweetest person, and then you get a view of this amazing pool.
SpaSocial is a full service day spa specializing in Spa Parties and Monthly Memberships. With a monthly membership you get special rates on spa services, and can use the amazing amenities at anytime (even when not having a service). The levels of memberships range from $60-$180 a month. For the CHOICE IS YOURS Membership $60 would include your choice of a 60 min. massage, facial or Spa mani & pedi once a month. For $120, you pick 2 for every month, and for $180 you get all 3!

Relaxing area near the pool/sauna/steam room |
SpaSocial has a jaw dropping Beauty Bar (all stocked with local Texas products) where they do makeup, blow outs, braids, eyebrow shaping/tinting and eyelash extensions. Great for girls going to prom, weddings, or even a night out on the town (I think my husband's jaw would drop if I had my hair and makeup done professionally).

Turner's 2nd Birthday Party
Just a few days ago we celebrated Turner's 2nd Birthday! It was a wonderful day celebrating with family and friends the life of my favorite little boy. It feels like yesterday we celebrated Year 1.
When deciding the theme for his party, I wanted to start with the invitation. I like to keep things simple, so I fell in love with this black and white polka dot invitation from Tiny Prints. I wanted to keep most decorations black & white with a hint of orange, but of course amazing Halloween decorations got me carried away.
We kept the food simple with hot dogs & hamburgers, chips/dip, salsa, fruit and homemade cupcakes. By the looks of this picture, I think the kids had a great time ; ). My favorite part was watching the kids swing at the pumpkin piñata. I really enjoyed decorating for a Halloween themed party, and the best part is I can reuse most of the decorations for our Halloween party in a couple of weeks.
Decorations:
- Invitation - Tiny Prints
- Ceramic #2 Dish - Ivy Lane via Amazon ($10)
- Black & White Garland - Target ($4)
- Mini polka dot pumpkins - Target ($6 for 6)
- White Frame- IKEA ($1)
- Paper straws - Target ($1)
- Halloween tins - Target ($1)
- Pumpkin Piñata - Target ($15)
